Boom (2015)

This acrylic work in the signs series abuses the semiotic notion of the sign through its anti-signification. The work is clearly influenced by Jeffrey Smart as well as some of the earlier pop artists. The work asks the question of what or who is the barrier (the boom) is protecting or excluding.
